Disgusting hotel..pathetic service...they can't even provide clean drinking water..bathrooms fittings do not work...drain is open ....they did not provide basic toiletries like soap...service is horrible....people donot take any responsibility...sadly first time I am seeing a hotel without intercom. They are charging a lot of money but overall hotel and services are useless.

Paradise Lagoon is situated in Kodi Bengre on the back water. Location and landscaping are stunning. Fromm are basic with sparse furniture. No Wi-Fi in rooms. Malpe is close by. Food was lbasic and not appetitng. Service was poor. Seems like the place is running on skeletal staff

#FIRSTHEPLUSES We met the owner the day we arrived. This was my message to her. Thank you so much for arranging for a cooler. That sure made our evenings very pleasant in the sit out. Your recommendation for Prawn Biryani,silver fish 🐟 rawa fry for dinner was perfect too. And ofcourse it was only because of you that we could get to see the Heritage Village in Manipal and enjoy that regional authentic lunch at The Mill. She had also recommended seeing the Chariot procession held every day at the Krishna temple at Udupi. 🛕. Which we couldn't see but mentioning here for the benefit of other traveller's. #THEMINUSES The resort is blessed with an absolutely fabulous location. You are blessed with an absolutely fabulous location for the resort. However, would like to give you a suggestions to make your resort more attractive. 1. The overall look of the resort needs to be spruced up. The pond behind doesn't look clean. There was a foul smell coming from where our rooms were. But upon telling the Manager the next day that was taken care off. As in any other resort the cleaning staff should be on the job for it to always have a spruced up look. 2.The approach to get on to the boat needed to be swept clean and the boat itself needs to be spotlessly clean at all times for after all the charge for an hour is a considerable amount. Must add though that the boatman does a good job of showing the various sites. 2. The rooms- A)They were musty . B)There were cobwebs on the windows. The curtains had a few rings come off and they are definitely not adequate enough to shut out the light. The curtains need a change too.Perhaps Jaipur prints? C) One of the lights was not working. D) The lighting is inadequate. Table lamps will add to the general ambience of the room. E) The bathroom needs a shelf near the sink to keep toileteries.As well as more hooks or stand to hang clothes/ towels etc. The one already there is too high. F) The bathroom floor is smooth mosaic. It is dangerously slippery when wet. G) The colour combination of the walls and upholstery is dark. Could do with a more cheerful look. H) There is no intercom. It is unfair to expect guests to use their personal phones to get in touch with the staff. I) The wifi has very poor connectivity. The breakfast- On the first day since only the four of us were present in the resort There was no buffet breakfast. So after being told what was available the idlis and the sambhar was stone cold. The vada and the Dosa were both not upto the mark. There was a strange oil smell in the food. The order took a long time in getting done too. But having reported this to the manager the next day the breakfast was good and service prompt. A word about the staff- They are all very polite and helpful. And we were happy with their service. Only, it is important to ensure that they are bathed and clean when they report for work. Since the tariff you charge is steep, it will be nice if you pay immediate attention to the above points.

Resort : The property is very much rundown. The hotel is 15 km away from the city , very secluded. If you don’t have a car, you have to use their taxi which is to book 1/2 hour before. It’s very expensive. Don’t go by the online pictures. Those are taken in 2011. It’s definitely not a paradise. Rooms and other areas need serious renovation. Bathrooms lack towel , toilet tissue holders. Shower heads are finicky, be careful ,water gets either boiling hot or cold. Smelly bathrooms, stained sheets . Lot of things shown in the pictures are not there. No intercom. You have to use your personal phone to call the reception or walk there. The grounds are okay to walk around, nothing extraordinary. They have boat rides priced 2000 Rs half hour 3500 one hour. If you walk 15 min to nearby bay, the same rides are 200 Rs. No one tells you that info . All these negative aspects are masked by one thing. It’s the SERVICE: Superb extraordinary service by the staff. Several young boys who are the employees . It’s not their fault the resort lacks so many things promised on the website. These kids are left with several things to deal with including ten phone calls every minute. They are working with 10 hands each running around comforting the guests, and managing the reception. Fayaz, Akshay , Ayrton front desk Dheeraj , Christon at service And the restaurant staff are very skillful , friendly and always smiling. They are very courteous going above and beyond to please the guests. They served us coffee in the morning even though the brkfst was at 8 am. We forgot our AirPods and drove for 15 min.,they called us and brought them half way. That was so nice which we appreciated a lot. The management needs to improve the rooms and facilities so the employees can do their best.

Hot water was not coming due to some issues but very upset the way staff was responding, neither staff knows what is an issue nor able to take any decision. Manager was not available but even after knowing the entire episode, he didn't react aggressively on providing any emicable solution.
